Summary: Eutrophication effect of domestic sewage to hydrochemistry and biocenoses of phytobentos in selected streams of Giant Mts., the Bohemian Forest and Jeseníky Mts. was studied. Several-time increment of some hydrochemical values (NH4-N, NO3-N, Cl-, PO4-) resulting from recreation activities. Concentration of oxygen felt down to the critical level (4 mg.l-1) in the Vltava river but only a few m under the output from treatment plant station of Kvilda recreation centre, as well as of Borová Lada willage. In another streams, also heavily loaded by sewage, was in high concentration. AGP (algal growth potential) of sites above sewage input was classified as oligotrophy
