Summary: Main aim of the project is: Via analysis of ecosystem services and development of suitable tools for effective communication among various stakeholder groups to contribute to sustainable and multifunctional utilisation of South-Bohemian fishpond system. Completion of the main aim should be achieved by means of fulfillment of several particular aims which include: (a) Analysis of diversity and dynamics of biotic communities in the relation to environment, fishpond use and management, and their changes, (b) Exploration of socio-economic relations of fishpond-specific changes, their perception by stakeholders and willingness to support actions towards fishpond biodiversity and multiple ecosystem services maintenance, (c) Deepening of an awareness of fishpond biodiversity and ecosystem services at professional fish farmers and using the citizen science methods, to involve them into the research and protection of fishpond ecosystems.
