New paper in Journal of Ecology: Global change affects plant–consumer interactions
Our department has published a new paper in Journal of Ecology investigating how warming, elevated CO₂ and drought affect interactions between plants and their consumers.
Using a 10-year grassland experiment, we found that these global change factors can directly and indirectly alter herbivore and pathogen damage to Plantago lanceolata. The results highlight the complexity of plant–consumer interactions under future environmental conditions.
