I am interested in the population ecology of rare species, ancient routes of floristic migration and modelling of ranges due to climatic changes and anthropogenic transformations. I study genetic diversity within populations, evolutionary history, and biogeography of rare and
threatened species; preservation of threatened populations with approaches such as evolutionary rescue, genetic restoration, and assisted gene flow.
