I am a plant ecologist as well as a PhD student at Faculty of Science at Charles University in Prague. I am mainly interested in landscape ecology and conservation biology of rare species. My PhD project is focused on the effect of current and historical landscape structure on distribution and fitness of dry-grassland species. I also collaborate on some other projects dealing with critically endangered species of Czech flora – Dianthus arenarius subsp. bohemicus, Gentianella praecox subsp. bohemica and Minuartia smejkalii. In these projects, I assist with population dynamics and genetic diversity studies to find how effectively protect these very rare species. I also participate in realisation of appropriate care about plant populations of these species in the nature as well as in ex-situ populations.
