| Summary: | The aim is to develop innovative non-chemical products for the protection of fruit trees and vegetables against frosts and drought, which due to climate change represent a growing problem for Czech agriculture.The project will investigate the use of waste materials from food and agriculture in the formulation of the products. The know-how of biorefining waste acquired by the participants in previous projects will be used. Extremophilic organisms with the ability to withstand drought and frost will be used as biotic components of the products, in addition to common microbial components. Waste materials and their biorefined forms such as plant and animal hydrolysates, biochar, brewer's yeast waste, dairy waste, mill waste and plant extraction waste will be used to produce formulate products. |
