Summary: The project aims to implement the CaviPlasma technology, which is capable of in-situ production of peroxo compounds in the decontamination of CBRN agens. The cyanobacteria and their toxic products, cyanotoxins representing a wide range of chemical structures (from alkaloids to cyclic peptides), will be a model for testing the technology. Cyanobacteria have already become a weapon for terrorist and criminal acts in several countries. It is the use of previously unknown, cheaply and by the tonne publicly available materials with toxicologically diverse compositions. It shows the need to be prepared for this global security threat. The project will result in technologies for decontamination and removal of toxin producers and follow-up validated methods and working samples.
