I am a researcher with 25 years-long experience in the field of algal research and algal biotechnology with a focus on physiology, cell cycle, remediation, recycling and recovery of metals, enviromental aspects and lipidomics of microorganisms. I am involved in both basic and applied research. I am an author of more than 75 articles in impacted scientific journals, 4 patents and 7 chapters in books. I have been a principal investigator of several national and international grant projects. I am also a university lecturer at the IMC Krems in Austria, I give talks at international conferences, and I focus on popularization of science. I lead a research team.
