| Professional specialization: | Mycology Research on microscopic fungi (Ascomycota), includes molecular phylogenetics, species delimitation based on sequencing data, microbiological studies, biogeographical analyses using metabarcoding ITS data, and applications of 2D ITS rRNA secondary structure. Over the last five years, my studies have yielded the publication of 17 papers in scientific peer-reviewed impact journals. Among these publications, 12 were first-authored, and in three I hold the position of a senior author. The findings can be summarized into three key accomplishments, which helped to establish a classification framework and significantly expanded our understanding of the members of the fungal order Chaetosphaeriales. These achievements are: 1) Development and implementation of a polyphasic taxonomic framework; 2) Clarification of morphological variability; and 3) Advancements in molecular identification techniques. |
