The department ensures the operation of the Třeboň Experimental Garden, which serves as a background for greenhouse and outdoor experiments of the scientific departments of the Institute of Botany.

The department includes two important gene pool collections:

  • The Culture Collection of Autotrophic Organisms (CCALA);
  • The Collection of Aquatic and Wetland Plants (Hortus Botanicus Třeboň).
