Three researchers from the Institute of Botany appear on a list of the most cited scientists worldwide

This year, Professor Petr Pyšek has appeared on the Highly Cited Researchers list for the third year running, while Prof. Vojtěch Jarošík has been named for the second time, and Ing. Jan Pergl, PhD, has made his first appearance. All three researchers hail from the department of Invasion Ecology. Apart from these three representatives of the Institute of Botany, only two other Czech scientists have been included in Highly Cited Researchers 2016 List (http://highlycited.com), published by ISI Thomson Reuters. The current list names around 3000 researchers. The inclusion of Professor Jarošík indicates that his work remains highly acclaimed in the global scientific community in spite of his untimely death three years ago.
