Průhonice Park in the Passage of Time
We would like to invite you to the international conference Průhonice Park in the Passage of Time which will take place on 21-22 May 2025 on the occasion of the 140th Anniversary of the founding of the Průhonice Park and the 15th Anniversary of the inclusion of the Park on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. Speakers include leading landscape architects, monument historians, or experts on World Heritage.
The role of the Park will be interpreted in the context of the history of garden art and of world cultural heritage sites. Attention will be focused on examples of garden architecture which served as inspiration for the founding of the Průhonice Park. Also mentioned will be the Park´s development after 1990, namely the efforts to safeguard its value using national and European grants. A detailed programme and registration is available here.
The conference is organised by the Institute of Botany, CAS, in partnership with the National Museum of Agriculture.
