Project Detail

Population biology and ecology of hemiparasite species on example of genus Thesium

Name: Population biology and ecology of hemiparasite species on example of genus Thesium
Researchers: Dostálek Tomáš (head – principal researcher)
Provider: GA UK
Realization from: 2006
Realization to: 2008
Summary: The aim of this study is to make a model study about ecology of very little explored hemiparasite species and simultaneously a study which brings important information for conservation of two critically endangered species. We want to use comparative study of population biology and ecology of common Thesium linophyllon and relativelly common Thesium bavarum and their related critically endangered species Thesium ebracteatum and Thesium rostratum so that we could know about ecology, population biology and genetics of these species and find generally applied findings which could be used in practical nature conservation.
