My research focusses on interactions between plant and soil communities and how these regulate plant population processes. In particular, I focus on understanding (i) the various components of plant-soil interactions with a particular emphasis on microbial communities, (ii) plant-soil interactions within the larger context of plant population processes driven by plant life history differences, and (iii) plant-soil interaction effects on plant population dynamics across various temporal and spatial scales. I enjoy combining experimental work with data analysis and linking datasets across various experimental scales (laboratory, greenhouse, outdoor and field).
