Summary: Biorefining is a set of biomass conversion biorefining processes carried out in suitable facilities, separators and bioreactors, which utilize biomass comprehensively in order to obtain renewable energy, eg in the form of biofuels, and at the same time or in close proximity to the production of new (chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food) products with high added value. Achieving such goals is possible only by using available and fundamentally new scientific knowledge in the fields of biology, microbiology, botany, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering and bioengineering, which can be synthesized for this purpose into a newly forming field which can be called bio-refining process engineering. the source, the carrier of carbon, is the matter of organic origin - biomass. The vast majority of energy-efficient biomass is due to phytomass, which is formed by the action of solar energy, carbon dioxide and water through a chemical reaction - photosynthesis. Biomass as a raw material contains a number of useful components such as lignin, cellulose, hemicellulose, starch, lipids, surfactants, essential oils, keratin , etc. The biorefining process undergoes a mechanical, thermal, chemical abiochemical conversion (conversion) biomass for desired products.
