RNDr. Josef Brůna, PhD.
|Department:||Department of Geoecology|
|Professional specialization:||Spatial vegetation analysis and modelling using GIS and remote sensing, spatially explicit models, forest microclimatic characteristics. My main specialisation is use of LANDIS-II model for forest modelling in Europe. The model is well calibrated for North American species, but implementation of European species and specific processes are lacking (large scale disturbances of monospecific stands as seen in Czechia is quite rare. Recently this topic is getting close with our main department topic, which is forest microclimate. Results of forest models are applied to temperature buffering to create future projections of microclimate that include the effect of changing forest.|
