People interested to join our group can contact the head of our department or any of the researchers or postdocs.
We have abundant experience with supervising and consulting undergraduate students. While maintaining close cooperation with Department of Experimental Plant Biology, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, the interdisciplinary character of our research enables us to offer also topics in the field of botany, microbiology or ecology. In addition to Faculty of Science, Charles University, we have also experience in collaboration with Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague and are open to collaboration with any other university.
We welcome people interested to elaborate their postgraduate study at our Department, offering them several possible research directions, financial backing of their research and international contacts. As a matter of course, we specify the topic together with the potential Ph.D. student and offer him part-time employment in the Institute of Botany.
We regularly host, for shorter or longer stays, trainees, visiting students or scientists from abroad, e.g. in frame of the EU Erasmus program; we have experience with consulting Ph.D. studies or hosting postdocs from other countries. The visitors of our lab either become involved into our projects or we provide our know-how and facilities for their research activities if conform to our research interests.
