 Research interest

I am a plant community ecologist. I am interested in how biotic interactions determine abundance and distribution of plant populations. In my previous research I investigated how native organisms can promote or, in contrast, reduce dominance of exotic plants. Currently, I explore variation in species local abundance patterns as a result of fitness differences and stabilizing processes (sensu Chesson 2000). Further, I examine an association between plant species abundance and phenotypic plasticity.
