Summary: The project evaluated the vegetation dynamics since 1998 and present state of littoral vegetation in the Lůsy peninsula, a part of Velký Tisý fishpond (NPR Velký a Malý Tisý). Controlled fishpond management was tested, comprising lowered fish stock and fluctuating water level. Its effect on reed-bed restoration was found to be positive. This way of management is applicable also for other fishpond ecosystems, especially in protected areas.
